What a thing to wake up to, the possibility that we may have severely wounded Abu Musab al-Zarqawi! If this is true then this would be a very big win for us in the GWOT.
I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much though because we have heard rumors of this before. Everyone also needs to be realistic in the fact that even if we nail this creep I’m sure there are other creeps just waiting to take his place. No the GWOT, though is going very well, I think is destined to drag out for some time. The enemy is very illusive and dynamic they “blend in”; Couple that with terrorist supporting nations (Syria / Iran / Jordan) and they are able to just disappear into the woodwork.
Our guys do an excellent job of rooting them out though! Just look at the action all over Iraq especially along the Syrian border, go get um guys!
